It is home to endangered species such as the hawksbill and leatherback turtles, as well as the Western Hemisphere’s largest colony of frigate birds. Soon, they will get a new neighbour – a luxury resort with a 150-room hotel, 450 residential units, a beach club, a marina and a golf course.
